Thursday, June 29, 2017 Been a busy week at the Tail and looks like a great holiday week to come. A reminder to Slingshot owners that Tennessee requires helmets. 

Friday June 17, 2017 The weather reports lately have been way off. One source showed 90% changes of rain for the past week. Instead we get scattered thunderstorms late in the afternoon after a full day of sun. Get your ride in early in the day and you stand a good chance of missing the rain.

It was a sad day for Dragon regulars after the loss of Kyle Moroney in an auto accident Saturday night on the road he loved. Kyle and a passenger died in a tragic accident. There is not much more to say at this point … we are all shaken.

May 28, 2017  Busy Memorial Day Weekend. A serious storm rolled through Saturday night bringing down many trees and causing widespread power outages. We have our generator running at the store and all is well other that some minor trashing of the area roads which will be cleared by noon.

This holiday should have everyone remembering the sacrifice that so many have given to allow us our freedom. Have a safe holiday and remember what it is all about.

April 26, 2017 – Had some great action on the Tail recently. Lots of classic cars, some strange customs, and groups just out having fun. This coming week promises to be interesting too. The Rotary Rally returns, S2000 Rock the Dragon, the Boxer Takeover, Stang Driven and probably a lot of others. We are going to enjoy watching this parade.

April 1, 2017 – Tail of the Dragon was featured in Road Trip the South. Some other great roads here too.

Big car weekend with Fiats, Crossfires, GenSport, a few Ponies, Camaros, and a mix of many others. Motorcycles made a good showing too especially those attending March Moto Madness in Tellico. Nancy on her new Yamaha XT 250 joined other women in an offroad skills class from ZacherAdventures. She had a ball.

February 28, 2017: Just a few more days until we open the Tail of the Dragon Store for the 2017 season. The weather forecasts look like perfection with sunny skies and temperatures pushing 60 degrees. We have some new products that people have been asking for. Our regular girls Leighann, Michelle and Carla will be back. It is looking like a great year to explore all the area roads.

February 20, 2017: This past week-end saw a large number of cars and motorcycles at the Tail. Rather early to see this many people enjoying the road, but the weather has been warm. We are looking forward to opening for the 2017 season on Friday March 3. Check us out. We have many exciting new products and will be introducing them throughout March.

February 2, 2017: Today the LeMons Rally came through the Tail of the Dragon on their Day Three Dragons & Waffles Event. Some 60 vehicles traveling from Asheville NC to Memphis TN and seeing how many Waffle Houses they can find on the way. The more waffles they eat the more points they earn. Vehicles include road racers, amphibious truck, a Viet Nam attack helicopter, a Lincoln stretch and an English Reliant Regal. Photos to come we are sure.
